Project Coordinator- Commercial and Industrial Projects Growth potential within company Based; Delta/Richmond, B.C

Position Overview

This position of Project Coordinator will be based in the Richmond/ New Westminster area, and provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work with a team of individuals who are passionate about their work. This role will report to the Senior Project Manager.

What are the responsibilities?

You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering comprehensive action plans on various commercial and industrial projects. Key responsibilities include: Utilization of relevant software to chart progress, time frames and budgets. A major function of this role is to work collaboratively to manage administrative duties such as work force issues, and health and safety to ensure client satisfaction. You will provide feedback, attend meetings review and report progress, track budgets and report inspection findings. You will also monitor tenders, and prepare and monitor schedules.

What you bring to the role

You will have proven abilities in project management within the construction industry. You will be knowledgeable about construction methods and building codes. Your background will include but not be limited to:

  • Diploma or higher in construction and/or project management, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing medium to large scale projects.
  • Good working knowledge of BC Building codes
  • Well versed in workforce health and safety, leadership with exceptional interpersonal and interpersonal skill to build strong internal and external relationships with clients and staff, while adopting a 'hands on'  and 'can do' approach.
  • To excel, you will have excellent time management, and communication skills, you will be excellent at working with internal teams and be motivational to generate productivity and be effective. Your aim will be to complete all projects on time, within budget, having met all quality standards.
