LucasWorks is currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join a team of dedicated professionals in the Kingsville warehouse facility. 
The position requires someone to be able to work in a very fast pace environment and MUST pay attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day to day production activities to ensure final product is completed in a timely manner
  • Look for and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Communicate production changes, and process information to team members and management
  • Plan, organize, direct and control the production operations, reporting to executive team as needed
  • Work closely with quality, maintenance, materials, engineering and tooling to identify and resolve all production related issues and concerns
  • Respond to any labour issues as needed
  • Work in the Scheduling/Technical department. Order stock from vendors, inspects orders for accuracy, develop daily production schedules, manage machine hours to ensure each machine has sufficient workload and maintain 99% on-time delivery
  • Run and verify PO reports to ensure pricing and order specs are correct. Handle cutting dies, print plates and label ordering. Produce mylars, DCI and print cards for production. Purchase supplies (glue, pallets, strapping, etc.) from approved vendors.
  • Assist with monthly inventories, input data and run required report.
  • Reviews CAD drawing/art files and assist in routing orders through the appropriate machine(s).
  • Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work as needed
  • Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to customer order due dates.
  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.



  • Post-secondary education, university or college degree/diploma
  • 1-3 years’ experience managing production in a warehouse environment
  • Proven accountability and having a target driving attitude
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven experience in fast pace environment
  • Proven knowledge and experience with continuous improvements
  • Need to be flexible for overtime and Saturdays come summer
Schedule: 

Monday - Friday - 7am-4pm
