Our client designs and manufactures injection molding machines parts. they produce the heating part of the injection machines called hot runners.  This position would require the candidate to have previous experience being a polisher. In this role, the Hot Runner Components Polisher polishes the components to remove lines or steps and ensures a joined surface on any mold surfaces making the part ready for the customer.  The incumbent of this role is responsible for eliminating any burrs and sharp edges on the components.  Ensure the mold surface finish, and sharp edges that are identified on the drawing meet the drawing specifications.  The role is a full-time position that is a contract to permanent role.    This opportunity would be working on a straight 12-hour weekend shift.



• Read the blueprints and job instruction sheets to verify dimensions, and surface finishes for the component;

• Select and/or prepare tooling for these operations;

• Ensure components are safely secured for processing;

• Ensure effective polishing tasks are completed to specifications and tolerances and/or JIS.   Follow the inspection process;

• Ensure proper emery paper is utilized;

• Vapour hone (sandblast) required surfaces in order to meet the specified finish;

• Engraving parts as specified on the drawing;

• Responsible for cleaning of the parts when polishing process is complete;

• Ensure production of quality parts by verifying the accuracy of these parts to the blueprint or sketches, using CMM, gauges, indicators and other measuring equipment;
