Classification: Payroll Administrator

Compensation: $50000.00 to $60000.00 yearly

Our Vancouver based client is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their growing team! Reporting into the Payroll Manager this person will be responsible for the following:

-Process in-house bi-weekly payroll for non-union hourly employee’s, reconcile and ensure accuracy (QC, BC, AB, ON, NL, NS).
-Create required internal management reports from the payroll system.
-Create and maintain employee payroll records for all hourly employees.
-In coordination with other payroll team members, review payroll data and payroll preview reports, and compare to supporting documentation to verify accuracy.
-Remain up-to-date with CRA and ESA rules and regulations, standards and work methods.
-Reconcile payroll ensure all payments are made as scheduled to relevant 3rd parties
-Verify accurate processing benefits and vacation payouts.
-Assist in year end processes such as T4’s and various provincial WCB reporting.
-Adhere to all policies and follow established procedures.
-Participate in required meetings providing input and recommendations.
-Assists Payroll Supervisor in activities involving payroll and other projects as assigned.
-Able to resolve payroll discrepancies by collective and analyzing information using sound judgement and understanding of payroll processes.
-Other duties include, but are not limited to: look for opportunities to improve in efficiency and payroll best practises, and bring forward to Payroll Supervisor.
-Administers health benefit plans including enrollments and terminations.
-Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
-Processes monthly billings from insurance providers.
-Reviews billings for accuracy, codes and advances for payment.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will bring 2+ years of payroll experience, have a high level of adaptability, and an eagerness to learn. Completion of the PCP or working towards will be considered an asset as well as some accounting knowledge.
