Parts Warehouse Associate
Job Description

Johnston Equipment is looking for a Parts Warehouse Associate to maintain order of parts inventory within the warehouse. They support the day-to-day activities through shipping and receiving duties, picking parts orders, organizing them into their correct locations, and attending to customer requests via walk-ins and over the phone.

The ideal candidate is organized to keep orderliness of material within the warehouse, customer-service oriented, demonstrates a positive attitude, and enjoys working on their feet. They also enjoy collaborating with others to be relied upon and being a contributor to the successful service for our customers. They act with a professional, courteous manner while using their listening skills to understand what orders and parts are required. With a strong attention for detail and a need to work within processes and procedures, you will accurately process, package, and ship orders in a timely, efficient manner using a keen eye to pinpoint defects or damages of products before they are shipped. Experience operating a forklift or pallet truck in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is considered an asset.


  • Upkeep an orderly environment and inventory of parts to allow an efficient experience in locating items for customers and technicians
  • Provide a positive and effortless customer experience externally and internally
  • Contribute to the successful services to customers through seamless collaboration with the Service department

Key Work Activities:

  • Move, lift, relocate, and place products from warehouse shelves to company vans
  • Replenish the inventory within company vans for Road Service Technicians on a weekly basis ensuring that all essentials are stocked and are readily available for use
  • Restock material as required within the warehouse in an effort to ensure orders can be quickly fulfilled according to incoming requests
  • Receive, unload, and correctly organize shipments
  • Maintain accurate information within the Warehouse Management System so that inventory data is up-to-date
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the warehouse in accordance with health and safety and company guidelines
  • Provide assistance to other team members in lifting heavier objects and locating parts
  • Pick parts orders from customers over the phone or in person at the parts counter
  • Keep track of received engines, cards and disc units that must be returned to the manufacturer
  • Maintain core and returns program
