Key Responsibilities

The Mechanic is responsible for servicing/repairing company buses in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. This position is not confined to shop activities as the Mechanic may be required to perform field work on down buses.

  • Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses
  • Diagnose equipment problems
  • CVIP Inspections
  • Spring and winter maintenance
  • Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs
  • Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Requirements

  • Journeyman Ticket (Automotive or Heavy Duty Mechanic)
  • 2 - 5 years related experience
  • CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) License considered an asset
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Exposure to working on diesel engines
  • Own hand tools
  • Valid Driver's License (Class 2 or 3 considered an asset)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Computer proficiency

Remuneration

  • Commensurate with experience
