Design Group Staffing is currently seeking a Materials Management Coordinator – Spare Parts for our client based in Calgary.

 

As an integrated materials management team, coordinate the review of spare parts submissions from the EPCs & projects team with the end objective of creation of the necessary information for requisitioning project spares and future spares for Operations. Materials Management Coordinator reports to Maintenance, Materials and Services General Foreman.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Development of the Spare Parts Inventory Development (SPID) process
  • Work closely with EPCs/Projects & BTC Team for coordination of the flow of information for procurement functions
  • Coordinate recommended spare parts list (RSPL) population and reviews by EPCs and New Operations/company’s staff
  • Provide spare parts recommendations by working with field subject matter experts (SME)
  • Coordinate Bill of Material requirements for FLOC, Equipment, Task List and Assembly BOMs
  • Coordinates creation of material masters and additions to inventory. Ensures consistency with EPC recognized sparing and preservation strategies.
  • Validate all material master data to be transferred to NAPES
 

Qualifications:

 

  • Expert knowledge of Global Practices associated with CMMS development and spare parts processes and their application
  • Strong knowledge of Materials Management module of SAP
  • Strong knowledge of database administration (e.g. Access database)
  • Knowledge of contract management
  • Familiarity with heavy industry planning, scheduling and execution concepts specifically strong knowledge of materials and supplies relating to Oil Sands Mine and Plant operations
  • Continuous improvement skills and commitment to best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; communication and influencing
  • Ability to build good, respectful working relationships
