One of our clients is looking to add a Marketing Specialist to their Toronto team. They want someone who’s a quick learner, is detail-oriented, and thrives in an environment that provides the right balance of guidance and autonomy. If you are highly motivated, enjoy cross-functional work, and have exceptional organizational skills, this is the role for you.

As the Marketing Specialist, you will work closely with local and regional management teams across the country to create promotional materials that increase sales and generate revenue. You will own print and marketing collateral end-to-end from design to production and delivery. As part of a small, tight-knit team you will support sales enablement initiatives and work collaboratively to achieve the department’s 2020 goals.

You’re a creative designer with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines and successfully produce deliverables on-time and on-budget. You are an assertive communicator, a strong multi-tasker, and a relentless problem solver who’s ready to jump in whenever needed and lend a helping hand. You enjoy working closely with others and build business relationships with ease.

What the new Marketing Specialist will focus on: 

  • Creating. You will design marketing collateral such as flyers, catalogues, and brochures; sending it to print and ensuring its timely delivery to teams across Canada. You will align your creative process with business needs to develop print materials that are engaging, easily understood, and most importantly, attention-grabbing.
  • Administration. You will oversee the operational side of marketing by updating the budget, managing forms and researching new ways to drive better business outcomes. You will also track item and inventory versions.

What you bring 

  • The education. You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in graphic design, marketing, business administration or a related field.
  • The experience. You might have been a Graphic Designer or a Marketing Coordinator in the past; either way, you have 3+ years of experience creating promotional materials on a national scale. Ideally, you are knowledgeable about the healthcare space.
  • Technical expertise. You are skilled at Photoshop and/or InDesign and ideally, are proficient in the rest of Adobe’s Creative Suite. You are well-versed with MS Office and ideally, have experience with Workplace and/or Slack, SharePoint and project management tools.
  • People skills. You enjoy working with cross-functional teams and can effectively communicate your ideas and vision to stakeholders at all levels. You are pragmatic about deadlines and effectively set expectations for the teams you work with.
  • Business acumen. You have the grit, organizational skills, and drive needed to keep projects moving and exceed targets. You are very resourceful and are always looking for new ways to better the bottom line. Experience with work back schedule tools is an asset.
