Talentcor is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic for the industry leader in safety equipment and gears in the Mississauga. The role is suitable for those candidates who are looking to expand and develop their skills and credentials.

The company will provide full training for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

Ensures all machines receive immediate service during production. Strives to respond to “RED lights” within 1 min of breakdown. Ensure all machines are properly guarded and safe for use. Work with engineering and quality department to resolve machine operation issues. Purchasing of parts in the absence of the department leader. Maintaining adequate parts inventory. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment including maintenance department. Regular upkeep of all areas of the plant including exterior building. Providing suggestions for machinery improvements. Performs monthly plant maintenance checks as required by department leader. Reports all maintenance issues to department head and department Supervisors.



Must have at least 1 year of work experience as maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment. Excellent working knowledge of all production machinery. Strong communication skills verbal and written Basic computer skills

Hours:

Must be available to be trained 4-6 weeks (6 am to 4 pm) then get switched to afternoons (1:30 pm to 12:00 am)
