The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design of Heat Exchangers, both Hairpin and Shell and Tube type, applying the rules provided in ASME Section VIII Div 1 code. The person in this role, will also use engineering fundamentals and industry practices to create safe, reliable designs and create drawings and details for fabrication and customer submittal for review/approval.

* Act according to our Clients Vision and Mission, with unquestionable lawfulness and integrity and provide the leadership and personal example necessary to achieve 10,000% compliance. Contribute to safety performance by demonstrating an unwavering personal involvement and commitment to EH&S excellence.

* Provide guidance, supervision, review and design certification of mechanical designs, stress analysis, fabrication drawings and Bill of Materials.

* Perform structural analysis of heat exchanger and supports to withstand the effects of wind, seismic, motion, and external piping loads.

* Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, when required, to perform stress analysis of complex geometries

What you bring to the job:

* At least ten years of experience working in the design of pressure vessel/heat exchangers.

* At least ten years of working design knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1 Code, ASME Section I Code, ASME Section IX Code, TEMA and API.

* At least ten years of working experience using Mechanical Design programs like AutoCad, Mathcad, and/or Bentley Autopipe.

* At least ten years of working experience developing calculation methods from first principles of heat transfer and stress analysis when established methods are not available.

* At least ten years of working experience with Business Management Systems, and general office software.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

* Member of Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario.

What Will Put You Ahead:
* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

* Work experience/knowledge of Hairpin and double pipe Heat Exchangers.

* Experience in Nozzle Load analysis for Pressure Vessels using NozzlePro™ and/or WRC-107/WRC-297.

* Experience with INFOR

* Proficient with Solidworks 3D modeling.
