Our client, a major food manufacturing company in the west end of the GTA is looking to add a Lead Hand to their team. Multiple shifts are available. The Lead oversee production lines in conjunction with and directions from Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager, while contributing to a healthy work environment.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Acts as a back up to the Production Supervisor when required.
- Ensures all equipment is operating efficiently and effectively communicate with Maintenance, Production Supervisor and/or Manager on any issues that may affect performance and production output.
- Responsible for setting up production lines, equipment and conducting changeovers.
- Ensures that all staff throughout the plant follow GMPs and SOPs to maintain company’s high quality and food safety standards.
- Ensures all QA checks are properly followed and adhered to.
- Responsible for ensuring all production documentation and checks are completed accurately, including packaging, labeling and all QA and production records.
- Must consistently monitor and motivate production team to increase efficiencies and ensure. production targets are met daily. This includes but not limited to documenting downtime, safety and any quality issues.
