Seeking a Litigation Law Clerk for an in-house opportunity to join an exciting company in Mississauga!

Responsibilities:

? Communicate and implement company-wide credit and risk management policies ? ensure compliance in respect of risk management policies and collaborate with senior management, credit managers and controllers ? review of weekly litigation bulletins and receivables ? conduct and review title searches for the purposes of due diligence and litigation. Conduct credit searches, review and analyze credit reports for due diligence purposes as well as litigation. ? Communicate with customers and debtors in respect of collections and litigation matters. Communicate and deal with process servers/courthouses with respect to court filings and conduct necessary follow ups. Draft letters and assist in drafting of pleadings and motions. ? Communicate with outside Counsel in respect of Superior Court matters. ? organize and maintain files, as well as keeping overall litigation reports up to date and current

Job Requirements
Requirements:

? Must be ILCO certified and have 3-5 years of solid litigation experience in civil matters, preferably in the context of construction litigation and the Construction Act. Paralegal license an asset. ? Must be familiar with the Rules of Civil Procedure and Small Claims Court Rules and Small Claims Court Forms. Candidates with experience in commercial and construction litigation with knowledge of the Construction Act or mortgage enforcement are preferred. Exposure to bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings an asset. ? experienced in collections, communicating with debtors and have strong problem solving skills. ? Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills due to high volume of legal files ? Candidates with experience in credit administration and credit analysis are preferred but not necessary
