Classification: HR Generalist

Compensation: $65000.00 to $75000.00 yearly

OfficeTeam is seeking a experience in entry level Retail HR Business Partner in North York to oversee retail Human Resources operations and ensure they’re aligned with our client's business goals.

The ideal candidate is passionate about people and HR practices, outgoing, and builds relationships quickly. They will also have solid experience with all HR practices with a strong focus on employee relations and performance management and should be comfortable communicating with HR leadership and the executive team to express new ideas and suggest solutions. Ultimately they should be able to act as a consultant on human resources management and organizational changes. The successful applicant will be working with the Retail side of the business and the HR team on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
* Resolve complex employee relations issues promptly and professionally
* Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
* Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance
* Analyze trends and metrics with the HR department
* Provide HR policy guidance
* Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning
* Identify training needs for teams and individuals
* Evaluate training programs
* Suggest new HR strategies

Job Requirements
* Must have 5+ years’ experience in a Retail Human Resources
* Bachelors degree or college diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.
* Designation/ or working towards the CHRP
* Must have 5+ years experience in a Human Resources environment.
* Good expertise in project management and independent learning
* Knowledgeable in the areas of labour legislation, regulations, compensation practices, recruitment, and Human Resources procedures.
* 2+ years experience with recruitment practices
* Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* Must have experience in a Windows environment.
* Strong knowledge of various HR applicable software (Payroll/HR software)
* Strong knowledge of employment law and legislation is required.
* Able to maintain confidences and keep information confidential.
* Ability to work with all levels of an organization to develop and influence the organization’s culture.
* Ability to represent the Company in a detail oriented and courteous manner.
