Junior Controller/Senior Accountant – Mat Leave – 6 months

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

 Develop timely and accurate financial statements and reporting package for Senior Management and Board of Directors
 Lead value-added financial analysis and modeling to support key business decision making
 Oversee account reconciliations and ensure controls are in place for timely resolution
 Develop annual budget and be responsible for variance analysis
 Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors on audit requirements
 Manage working capital, perform cash flow projection and be responsible for bank transaction reconciliations
 Oversee the month end closing process and take a leadership role in system maintenance from a finance perspective
 Strong partnership with IT and other functional groups on process design and improvement projects
 Manage and maintain capital asset purchases and applicable depreciation and amortization
 Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

Job Requirements


 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
 Completed or final stage professional accounting CPA program
 5+ years experience in a related role
 Problem-solving and analytical ability
 Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills a must
 Previous experience with ERP system including documentation of processes
 Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control requirements
 Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
 Effective written and interpersonal communication skills, fluent English language skills required
 Effective time management skills and react quickly to changing priorities. Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines
 Self-motivated, results driven, prefers to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
 Confident team player with strong interpersonal skills who can work across multiple functions to achieve goals
