Human Resources / Safety Manager

Buhler Ezee-On is currently looking for an experienced HR/Safety Manager to join their team in Vegreville, Alberta. In this role you will plan, organize, direct and evaluate the operations of Human Resources, implement policies, programs and procedures regarding Human Resource planning, recruitment, orientation and training and development, occupation classification and pay and benefit administration.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Implement all company policies and procedures
  • Advise and assist managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs and performance evaluations
  • Supervise any administrative support staff
  • Design , plan and conduct new employee orientations
  • Analyze training needs for employee development, training and health & safety programs
  • Define procedures and matrix for competency and training needs of personnel
  • Ensure personnel files are up to date and secure
  • Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
  • Support all discipline issues
  • Conduct all aspects of hiring and termination cases
  • Represent management and participate on various joint committees to maintain ongoing relations between management and employees (i.e. Employee Committee, H&S Committee, Events, etc.)





Job Requirements

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Post-secondary education is preferred with a minimum of 5 years managerial experience and 4 - 5 years Human Resources experience 
  • Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Good time and stress management skills – ability to set priorities
  • Proficient computer skills
