HR Generalist

We are an established supplier of Gourmet Foods in Etobicoke and are seeking an HR Generalist to join our team.

Do you have an HR background in Employee Relations? Payroll? Canadian Employment Laws?

We want to talk to you!

What would your workweek look like?

  • Coordinating hiring needs and onboarding of new staff among 3 Canadian branches
  • Placing ads for seasonal hires, prescreening and setting up interviews
  • Reference checks
  • Assisting with orientation and sign up documents
  • Maintain employee records
  • Establishing employee handbooks
  • Entering payroll into ADP system
  • Assist the company with Health and Safety documents, meetings, etc.
  • Assist with employee events, planning and execution
  • Other duties as required

What do you need to bring to the table?

  • 3 years’ experience in an HR Generalist role
  • Formal education in Human Resources (degree not required)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and ADP
  • A self-starter who will work independently as well as closely with the team
  • A love of working with and helping people

What do we offer?

  • Contract position with ability to move into a permanent role
  • A scheduled Part time 4 day work week Monday to Friday
  • A starting salary of $45-50K
