Classification: Full Charge Bookkeeper

Compensation: DOE

We have a client with a new opening for a Full Charge Bookkeeper located North of the Fraser River. This is a smaller, family-oriented team player enterprise with a nicely tenured staff. They are in the manufacturing sector and have been in business for over a decade.

In this Full Charge Bookkeeper position, you will regulate journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The Full Charge Bookkeeper can also be responsible for the clerical staff.

Your responsibilities in this role

- Assemble monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
- Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
- Enter budget transfers
- Knowledgeable in credit card management and reconciliation
- Recap business license and gross receipts
- Administrate Accounts Receivable
Job Requirements
As the Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will succeed in this role with strong communication skills and solid full cycle bookkeeping experience. They use Great Plains which would be an ideal software background to possess but not an absolute must. More importantly, your proven abilities to navigate through all accounting responsibilities culminating in the production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports will serve you well.

You will bring with you:

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required
- Proven knowledge of journal entries
- Financial statement preparation experience
- Experience with general ledger
- Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Vow to meet business deadlines
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- 3+ years of related experience
