Does working on a growing team sound appealing to you? This Financial Analyst role, which is a full-time employment opportunity, is located in Ottawa, Ontario.
Duties include:

- Conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans
- Advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management
- This position requires a flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information
- Ensure business partners handle their resources by tracking monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations
- Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date
- Drive P&L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis
- Provide valuable foresight and decision support through effective Business Intelligence (BI)
- Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending
- Complete and direct forecasting reports
- Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
- Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
- Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments,
event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
- Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to see the proper execution of plans
Job Requirements
- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
- Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- 3+ years of experience in problem-solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
- Solid understanding of cost analysis
- Practical knowledge in problem-solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience recommended)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Financial designation considered an asset
