Robert Half Finance is seeking experienced candidates with over 5 years experience for a Financial Analyst position with a thriving insurance company in the Hamilton area. Financial Analysts with effective communication skills who are proven problem solvers and enjoy working as part of a team will be interested in this position. The Financial Analyst, supporting the CFO, will be responsible for consolidated as well as branch level financial statements, budgeting and reporting and key industry performance indicators as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, as well as various ad-hoc reporting. If you enjoy collaborating with peers in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management, this may be the role for you! What you get to do every day - Deliver effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide valuable foresight and decision support - Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes - Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to enhance decision making - This position requires a flexible individual who is adept at working effectively on multiple projects in a fast paced environment - Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are properly executed - Execute and monitor forecasting, budget and cash flow reports - Survey performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities - Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
Job Requirements
- Financial planning analysis - Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written - Good understanding of Consolidated Financial statements - Ad Hoc Projects experience preferred - Actual Variance Analysis experience - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make timely decisions - Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field - CPA designation preferred - 5+ years of experience in financial reporting at the consolidated level - Insurance industry background is an asset Please express your interest by email to Anne Holyoke-Bernard at [Click Here to Email Your Resume] referencing Financial Analyst JO #05070-0011047595.
