Compensation: $80000.00 to $90000.00 yearly

This position is for a Financial Analyst with effective communication skills. This position is for someone who enjoys working as part of a team. Skilled Financial Analyst candidates will be interested in this opportunity through Robert Half Finance to join a thriving company. If selected, you will implement financial modeling on various financial products as well as to measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Daily operations will also consist of advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. This role via Robert Half Finance provides an exciting opportunity to perform in a business partner capacity in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management with fellow colleagues. The Financial Analyst role is a full-time employment opportunity in Ottawa, Ontario.

Key responsibilities

- Understand and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
- Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
- Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
- Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks
- The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information
- Drive P&L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis
- Ensure business partners handle their resources by tracking monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations
- Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
- Deliver effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide valuable foresight and decision support
- Edit and manage forecasting reports
- Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Job Requirements
-Financial Analyst with Financial Reporting Experience
-CPA Designation
-Master's or Bachelors in a related financial field
-A minimum of 2 years of post-accounting designation experience including demonstrated leadership in an accounting setting
-Act as a subject matter expert in IFRS and business planning
-Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
-Superior written and oral communication skills in both official languages (mandatory) as well as interpersonal skills working with all levels of an organization's management structure
-Strong technical expertise in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
