Manpower is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to work at our Clients manufacturing facility located in Scarborough. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a world leader in the Heat Transfer industry.

The incumbent will report directly to the Director of Technical Services and will have Engineers and designers reporting to him/her.

A Day in the Life Typically Includes:
* Serve as the engineering leader and a mentor for the team
* Support the engineering team members on complex technical issues
* Create detailed engineering plans, processes, and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide by
* Schedule and oversee the timely completion of engineering projects
* Oversee the quality of work performed and the methods used by engineering staff
* Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members
* Lead development initiatives to identify opportunities for improved processes and design methodologies
* Communicate and collaborate with other functional managers, suppliers, and contractors
* Support the resolution of quality issues and customer field calls
* Participate in customer meeting as required on a project
* Respect, follow and embrace all the Safety Procedures
* Understand and apply Koch's Market-Based Management® and MBM Guiding Principles.

What you bring to the job:

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Structural Engineering
* At least 10 years of experience in design and manufacturing of pressure vessel/heat exchangers
* At least 10 years of experience and strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1 Code, TEMA, NACE, and/or API standards
* Hold a Professional Engineer license
* At least three years managing a team and/or directing the work of others
* At least three years of experience working with customers in the oil and gas industry, particularly EPCs, refineries and/or petrochemical companies
* Strong computer skills and proven proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word & Excel, power point).

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Exposure to shop elements such as, noise, dust, fumes and odors.

What Will Put You Ahead:
* At least five years of management experience
* Master degree in business (or related field)
* Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers industry experience
* Welding and/or NDE knowledge pertaining to oil and gas equipment
* Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis
* Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 2, and Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
