What are the overall main job responsibilities of the Millwright position?
  • Maintain and repair plant equipment and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
  • Prepare and maintain records of program changes, build electrical upgrades and equipment electrical upgrades; maintain daily record of work completed
  • Support various teams in crisis management situations, breakdowns, etc.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, performing duties in a safe, efficient and proper manner
  • Apply and meet all applicable codes, standards and/or regulations when performing work
  • Provide annual preventative maintenance requirements on equipment
What are some of the qualifications to consider when applying for this Electrical Millwright role?
  • Certificate of Qualification, Certificate of Apprenticeship (Electrician) Red Seal
  • Certificate of Qualification, Certificate of Apprenticeship (Industrial Millwright) Red Seal
  • Arc flash formal training or at least one year of hands-on experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a diecast, automotive, or manufacturing environment performing like tasks
The Skills, Abilities and Knowledge required to land this sweet Industrial Electrician job are:
  • Strong capability of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, change faulty components, and process troubleshooting are assets
  • Knowledge of applicable government codes, rules and regulations and be able to keep up to date of changes of these codes
  • PLC experience – RSLogix5000 would be a great asset
  • Experience working with Motoman robots
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • CNC experience would be ideal (MAZAK, MAKINO)
  • Ability to provide personal tools, large or specialty tools provided
  • Ability to read hydraulic, electrical prints
  • Ability to work various shifts (a mix of days, afternoons and midnights)
