A long standing General Construction Company is looking to grow their team and is seeking a Director of Operations to not only oversee the areas of Site Operations but manage Project Management teams also. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious but experienced individual to take lead in driving business forward. The role would also appeal to someone who has held a Senior Project Manager title with a general contractor and is now seeking the next step in their career.

As Director of Operations, you will be reporting into the VP of Construction and assisting in developing KPI’s with the rest of the leadership team along with implementing strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives. You will also be ensuring compliance with company safety programs, laws and regulations at project sites, therefore, working closely with senior site staff as well as the corporate office. Part of supervising the project teams will mean overseeing planning, execution, construction, and final close out. This is an opportunity for you to provide coaching and feedback as well as assist others in meeting deadlines while upholding quality.

For a successful application, you must have experience in commercial construction and previous leadership experience. A strong educational background ie degree in Building Construction, Engineering or Architecture with in-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles along with estimating, scheduling, procurement, design; applicable codes and regulations, basic understanding of related mechanical, electrical and structural systems. Proven experience with Project Management Software. NewForma experience would be preferred.
