On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Digital Accessibility Auditor.

Digital Accessibility Auditor – Job Description

  • This team is responsible for ensuring Corporate and subsidiary public/secure/mobile sites and applications are universally accessible.
  • They contribute to the creation of standards and best practices and promote accessibility guidelines across both desktop and mobile applications.
  • Working within the Digital Experience team, this position will support the Senior Manager, Digital Accessibility and will be responsible to:
  • Conduct internal audits, provide audit queries, consolidate results and analysis on the health of our Corporate and subsidiary banking sites/apps on accessibility.
  • Lead full audits of various parts on our public/secure/mobile applications, spot check audits, determining the gap not meeting standards, create a user story and submit the defect for remediation.
  • Lead analysts and external vendors with their tasks of providing detailed analysis and reports as they relate to auditing.
  • Be the audit expert for digital accessibility of public/secure/mobile applications, work closely with the Accessibility Consultants within Project Support on issues found.
  • Lead the remediation follow thru, as well as work closely with the Frameworks and Vision team to ensure documentation and training materials are updated if a gap is found.
  • Leverage AMP and use this tool to ensure we continue to maintain a satisfactory audit score across our platforms and provide reporting for compliance.
  • This role will be supporting audits of all our digital platforms and the remediation of them.
  • Working independently to conduct the audits but collaborate with other members of the agile pod such as designers, developers, editors, and quality assurance.

Digital Accessibility Auditor – Mandatory Skills

  • 4+ years of experience working with Accessibility Guidelines
  • Strong experience with Accessibility Guidelines WCAG (2.0 & 2.1), W3C, AODA, and ARIA
  • Experience with screen readers JAWS & NVDA
  • Experience remediating issues across browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari)
  • Experience with automated auditing tools (e.g. AXE)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage ones’ time

Digital Accessibility Auditor – Nice to Have Skills

  • Development background is highly preferred (HTML, Java, ARIA)
  • Experience with screen readers Talkback and VoiceOver
