Corporate IT Support Analyst

Location: Calgary, AB

Pacific Western Transportation is currently seeking a part-time IT Support Analyst to work in our Calgary location. This individual will provide Tier 1 support, maintenance, and user orientation for personal computing devices, desktop software, and related peripherals to internal staff across the organization. As the successful applicant, you will report directly to the IT Service Desk Manager with a secondary reporting structure to the local Director, IT Operations.

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software and applications problems. Resolve as many user-reported problems as expertise permits using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases
  • Create/update and maintain our Ticketing system and knowledge base articles and solutions to promote consistent first call resolution and knowledge sharing among team members
  • Travel to different locations throughout the city if needed to troubleshoot hands on hardware or network issues
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and peripherals
  • Coach users in the use of hardware, software and file management
  • Perform computer equipment repairs and deployment
  • Manage network printers, devices and wireless connectivity
  • Assist with in-house built software issues and related problems
  • Account setups (Active Directory and Office 365 knowledge ideal)

Education and Experience

  • Computer Science Degree, diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to learn new things daily
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • In-depth knowledge of: Windows 7-10, Microsoft Office 365, PC Hardware Repair, Citrix, VPN, printers, Windows Server (Active Directory), Exchange Server, Domain Controller
  • Blackberry Enterprise Server support and good knowledge of iPhones
