Our client, a brand recognized organization in the real estate space, is looking for a new Corporate Controller who brings solid technical skills and knowledge, coupled with strong communication, team leadership ability, and high emotional intelligence.

The new Controller will be a part of the senior finance leadership team and will play an integral part in timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis. An individual with the ability to effectively problem solve, think critically, and spot opportunities for process improvement would be highly valued.

Some of the key responsibilities for the role would include:

- Consolidated financial reporting
- Oversight of the audit process
- Cash management including foreign exchange and treasury functions
- Support for the negotiation and administration of financings
- Technical accounting support for major projects, various corporate entities, and new corporate structures
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely reporting processes, procedures, and policies
- Other duties as needed and required

Additionally, this role will take on various corporate special projects and transformations as they impact the finance and accounting team. Projects such as ERP implementations or policy and procedural changes.


The ideal candidate would bring:

- Experience and knowledge with IFRS, ASPE, and/or US GAAP
- Experience with consolidated financial reporting
- Experience with treasury and cash management
- Exposure to the real estate industry would be ideal
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self motivation, the ability to problem solve, and the desire to work as part of a team
