Description

We're looking for a dynamic Continuous Improvement (CI) Supervisor, to join the CI team at our Brampton facility.




Overview




Reporting to The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager, the CI Supervisor is responsible for driving process improvement leadership & support to all aspects of the business operation. 




Position Details




Typical Schedule: Mon - Fri, 7am - 3pm (flexibility for overtime as required)





  • Act as the site champion for continuous improvement through the application and facilitation of Lean & Six Sigma methodology, including process measurement and analysis, process improvement identification, planning, execution, validation and control. 

  • Facilitate and organize problem solving teams to achieve breakthroughs in process performance by applying typical Lean techniques (i.e., Value Stream Mapping, Charting Measurement, 5S, safety, etc.)

  • Analyze and continuously review the current production and business processes and methodology employed by Pre-Con. 

  • Work with plant leadership team to identify & create project plants to continuously improve efficiency, safety, quality, costs and plant capacity.

  • Collaborate with CI peers at other Pre-Con locations to share best practices and establish standardization of initiative implementations across all Pre-Con sites. 

  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and the Company Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities.  

  • Promote Pre-Con’s Zero Incident safety vision!

  • Ownership and plant support operational metrics. 




Required Qualifications





  • A Great Attitude!

  • Six Sigma or Lean experience or certification preferred.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing Concepts, 5s, safety, problem solving, Kaizen teams, etc. 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.

  • Hands-on, operational management / leadership experience. 

  • Proven Change management - drive change and act as a change catalyst.




Asset





  • Precast / Ready Mix / Construction / Building Materials experience  

  • Manufacturing work environment experience.
