Design Group Vancouver have an immediate opportunity for a client focused Construction Coordinator with a proven ability to keep projects on track in a Multifamily Residential Construction environment. Our Client is an innovator and industry leader in Edmonton’s construction community. They are highly focused on building a great team and continuing to develop great people from within. With several projects throughout the lower mainland, they currently have an opportunity for an experienced Construction Coordinator to join their team.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a coordinator with aspirations of a career in project management to gain hands on involvement in challenging and interesting projects, and receive mentorship toward a career as a Project Manager.

Your challenge

As the chosen Construction Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting a team of Project Managers and delivering direct client interface on projects throughout the region. Key responsibilities will include providing superior client service, utilization of project management software to chart progress, providing regular status updates to the Project Manager, managing project financials and closely monitoring job progress, effectively managing workforce issues, ensuring client satisfaction, ensuring that company goals and objectives are met or exceeded, and promoting & driving organization objectives.

Your Background

The successful applicant for this Construction Coordinator opportunity should have demonstrated abilities in client interaction, construction & project management. Desired background includes a degree or diploma in Architecture, Structural Engineering or Project Management and a minimum of 2 years of project experience. Candidates with completion or in progress of completing a PMP designation are highly preferred. Required skills for success in this role include: safety focus, leadership, communication, relationship development, motivation, estimating, creativity, confidentiality, and accountability. Due to the front facing nature of this position, only individuals with an aptitude for building relationships, and reputation of high integrity and accountability will be considered.
