Our Product Development team is looking for a manager to oversee the development and operations of our data systems. The ideal person for this role is experienced with overseeing teams that operate complex property listings data systems.

The manager will be responsible for legacy and next-generation data systems applying appropriate methods to organize, store, and analyze data. All procedures must place a priority on availability, performance, security, and confidentiality of data movements from source to internal systems. This manager is a creative technical problem solver with excellent communication, troubleshooting skills.

Needs to have:

  •       Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent working experience
  •       8-10 years in progressive data roles with at least 3 years in leading high performing teams
  •       Direct working knowledge and leadership experience in cloud systems (GCP or AWS)
  •       Working knowledge or experience in Google Cloud Platform, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, Docker, MySQL, PHP, Ansible, Terraform
  •       High comfort in Linux (Centos/Ubuntu) administration
  •       Exceptional focus on team-engagement

Great to have:

  •       Certification in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Change Management, Project Management
  •       Led or co-led successful change management, devops, automation initiatives
  •       Experience with Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence
  •       Real estate industry knowledge/background

Key Responsibilities:

  •       Coach teams on business planning, implementation, best practices, and work prioritization
  •       Facilitate decision making, issue resolution and consensus among team members
  •       Hold regular career planning discussions and match business opportunities with team members
  •       Communicate and share openly opportunities to resolve challenges with leaders across departments
  •       Drive multiple initiatives at strategic and tactical levels with limited direction and high level of urgency
  •       Effectively deliver on multiple priorities, pivoting quickly based on business needs while maintaining optimism
  •       Maintain high engagement culture through regular communication leveraging all opportunities like face to face, video conferencing, chat, phone, and email
  •       Conduct timely discussions and make decisions needed to maintain a high-performance culture
  •       Partner with HR to recruit and match candidates to company culture and role
  •       Passionate and committed to ongoing self-development in technology, leadership and change management
