Design Group Staffing has some exciting opportunities for Civil Project Coordinators who are career orientated and interested in becoming an expert in a specialized field of deep foundation services. These permanent fulltime positions will assist and report directly to the Project Managers and/or Superintendents and will provide and coordinate all information related to project management.

Accountabilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the preparation of safe work plan and hazard assessment of the site and trades/work    
  • Ensuring job site toolbox talk and site inspections are carried out and submitted as per the health and safety program requirements    
  • Understanding client requirements, and assisting with estimating the equipment or manpower necessary to carry out the work in an efficient and safe manner    
  • Assist project managers in preparing for the project commencement    
  • Ensuring material and equipment requisitions are submitted, clearly and are correctly completed    
  • Submitting requests and ensure all permits and all permissions are in place prior to the work commencing    
  • Preparing or assisting in project related client invoicing and provide supporting documentation where required    
  • Provide ongoing support to Project Managers and Superintendents in various related tasks    
  • Coordinating multiple projects at a time
Requirements:

  • Diploma in Civil Technology or Degree in Civil Engineering    
  • Minimum 3+ years consistent experience as a Project Coordinator on civil projects (roads, bridges, earthwork etc.)    
  • Civil Project Coordinating experience with deep foundation projects would be preference.    
  • Registered or Eligible as a CET or EIT    
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications    
  • Attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies    
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills    
  • Must have own vehicle or mode of transportation to and from various work sites.
The individuals chosen for these roles will be highly creative, professional, hardworking, achievement focused, analytical and organized.  Strong attention to detail, planning and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.  Driver license required.  All candidates must be able to work in Canada.
