Junior Case Manager – Bilingual Job Details

In this role, the Case Manager will be responsible for all aspects of case management, both technical and adjudicative. Your ability to communicate will ensure your success in this role as you will need to develop key relationships with your external and internal clients.

In a typical day, you will be asked to manage your portfolio of short-term disability cases, carefully address client concerns, develop management plans to facilitate return to work or transition to long-term disability.

 Junior Case Manager – Bilingual Job Responsibilities

Hands-on support and configuration of the following:

  • Raise new short-term disability applications. This task will consist of entering the file data accurately and interpreting the contractual clauses.
  • Make decisions on eligibility for short-term disability benefits by analyzing contractual clauses, medical, functional and vocational information.
  • Frequent verbal and written communications with plan members, plan sponsors and the various medical stakeholders involved in the recovery of insureds.
  • Maintain and cultivate excellent relationships with our partners
  • Prioritize the different tasks to be accomplished in order to achieve the service standards offered to our clients.

Junior Case Manager – Bilingual Mandatory Skills

  • Mandatory health related degree (kinesiology, psychology, nursing, etc.) 
  • Good knowledge of terminology and medical management;
  • Ability to negotiate and influence
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Strong ability to handle different tasks, set priorities and a fast pace of work.
  • Bilingualism (French and English)

ASAP or 2 weeks’ notice

Junior Case Manager – Bilingual Length

This is an initial 12 month contract with possibility of extension.
