The opportunity

Whether you have one year experience or three, this is an opportunity for someone looking to step into a software sales role as a Business Development Representative. Reporting to Sean Licata, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, we need a Business Development Rep who enjoys the challenges and the rewards of being the key first step in our dynamic enterprise sales cycle. This is a career-building role for someone with the energy and wit to make a powerful impact on the growth of our company.

You want to take an entrepreneurial approach to grow your territory and our reach. You are ready to give it all youve got to make an impact by securing sizeable deals.

With extensive onboarding, career planning and supportive management; you will rapidly move up from an Inside Sales role and cold-calling to nurturing relationships and closing deals as part of our Outside Sales team.

Our new Business Development Representative will:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails.
  • Speak with decision-makers and influencers at mid-sized, manufacturing companies to develop a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements.
  • Qualify leads and direct them up the pipeline.
  • Expand your database of prospects using Salesforce (a CRM) to research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
  • Present online demos to prospects.

  • A post-secondary education.
  • A winning personality. You can gain the trust and confidence of those around you and can work with internal and external team members at any level.
  • Awesome relationship building skills. You ask the right questions and dig deeper to peak interest and keep the conversation going. You use insights and data to help uncover and solve client needs. Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills in English are the key to your success.
  • Adaptability and independence. You can quickly change priorities and you are a fast learner with technical inclinations.
  • Ambition. You are highly motivated to grow, to expand your skills and move up to the sales executive and account manager roles in technology.
  • A winning approach. You know that its all about confidence, communication, knowledge and perseverance (even in the face of rejection).
