Billing Coordinator - Permanent

On behalf of our client in the Utilities Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Billing Coordinator.

Billing Coordinator – Job Description

  • Ensure utility bills are issued on time and accurately for our clients
  • Perform daily off-cycle billing activities involving final bill preparation, validations and any necessary adjustments
  • Perform validation and check processes to ensure accuracy of the bills going out to the clients
  • Input or enter data through a manual or automated process
  • Answer incoming customer inquiries (both clients and general public)
  • Perform rate changes, batch checks & cycle validations
  • Update process documentation as required
  • Manage service orders for final read requests
  • Maintain daily SLA report and monthly report card
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and other tasks that may be assigned

Billing Coordinator – Mandatory Skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • A strong commitment to customer and corporate objectives.
  • Strong computer skills along with experience in different business software applications
  • Proficiency with all MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.)

Billing Coordinator – Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with utility Customer Information System (CIS) applications strong asset
  • Bookkeeping experience or other financial skill set an asset
  • Experience working as a biller or customer service representative at a utility is preferred
