Bilingual HSE Advisor
Job Description

Our client, a leading Industrial Distribution company with facilities all over Canada is seeking a Bilingual Regional HSE Advisor, to join their team in Hamilton, Ont.
The position consists of office related duties (around 60% of the time), travel to and from other client locations, and field work. Travel will be a minimum of one week per month up to a max of 3 weeks a month dependent upon business requirements.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Review, translation, and continually improve the HSE program;
- Report to management on the status or the safety program;
- Support the Safety Coordinators in the East region locations;
- Work with Service Center Management to ensure that the local COR HSE program is maintained;
- Conduct Safety Audits/worksite inspections at branch and field locations, including COR audits
- Translate HSE docs from English to French;
 Salary ranges are estimated, and may be negotiable depending on the candidate's level and quantity of experience

- Bilingual; English and French
- Extensive comprehension of case management, WCB relations and investigative procedures
- Working knowledge of all Canadian federal and provincial OHS legislation
- Working knowledge of CSA standards applicable to HSE
- Completion of Standard First Aid – Level C CPR an asset
- Self motivated
- Ability to lead through open communication
- Ideal candidate would have experience working with machine shops and mechanical technicians.
