What is the job:
The successful candidate for the position will be responsible for the following duties:
* Conduct mechanical assembly of components, tubes, and machined metal parts using various tools including pneumatic and hand tools.
* Conduct testing using air and water systems including set-up, timing, and data recording. Being able to accurately read gauges and use measuring tools is critical.
* Assist in the movement of materials within the plant, including the use of forklifts, side-loaders, and overhead cranes.
* Support warehouse operations, including helping to load trucks, and various other duties to support manufacturing activities.
* Inspect units including visual checks and dimensional measurements.
* Adhere to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment, i.e.: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots and other PPE as required by specific jobs.
What you bring to the job:

* At least two years of experience performing mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
* At least two years of experience in material handling such as gathering parts, tools, and materials for assembly.
* At least one year of experience in reading blue prints and following drawing specifications.
* Have a current forklift license or the ability to obtain one within one month.
* Have a current crane license or the ability to obtain one within one month.
* Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
* Ability to independently follow detailed work instructions
* Must meet the physical requirements of the job.

Physical Demands:
* Lifting, bending, stopping, standing, kneeling, squatting.
* Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., unassisted.
* Exposure to loud noises, fumes, sparks, vibrations, dust, dirt, irritants and smoke may occur.
* Position requires the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Position requires the ability to operate overhead crane and a forklift.
