Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice

Location: Calgary AB

Diversified Transportation requires Full-Time Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentices (Second, Third and Fourth Year) for its Calgary-based shop.

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will work in a fast paced environment maintaining a fleet of motor coaches. Diversified offers an above average work environment with an emphasis on safety and training. To qualify for the Apprentice Mechanic position, you must be a reliable self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.

As the successful candidate, you must be a registered second, third or fourth year Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice.

Position Requirements:

  • Clean Drivers Abstract and able to obtain Class 2 license and Q endorsement .
  • Pre-employment fitness for work testing
  • Pre-employment drug testing
  • Shift work required

As an Apprentice Mechanic, your duties are as follows:

  • Maintenance/repair of motor coaches
  • Respond to breakdowns
  • Spring and winter maintenance
  • Working under the supervision of a Certified Journeyman
