This position reports into the Manager of Applications Development, the
Applications Support Developer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining
and developing .net based software packages used within ABS
Canada/Innomar-Strategies.
This role will include project and support based functions with the majority
of work assignment being support deliverables. This individual will participate
in the support phase of the project and will focus their development activities
during the implementation to support phase.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform
technical support for Innomar Strategies developed windows or web based
applications by phone or email
- Responsible
for problem tracking, diagnosis, replication, troubleshooting and
resolution of application help desk tickets
- Follow
ITIL framework and provide support for Incident, problem and change
management processes
- Diagnose
and solution design technical issues that arise with Innomar built
applications
- Collaborate
with software developers, DBA’s to reproduce and test defects to ensure
proper corrections are made to those defects
- Codes,
tests, debugs and documents complex programs, and enhances existing
programs to ensure that data processing production systems continue to
meet user requirements
- Analyze
application help desk tickets and suggest and implement improvements to
reduce application issues and to optimize performance
- Develop
system documentation for all developed applications, including flowcharts
- Identifies
and resolves system operating programs in order to provide continuous
business operations
- Interacts
with user management regarding project status and user requirements to
promote an environment with improved productivity and satisfaction
- Assists
in scheduling, and estimating costs to project completion in order to meet
user requirements
- Performs
related duties as assigned
Requires
training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, computer
sciences obtained through completion of a four year Computer Science Degree
program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience
and education.
Requires minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Net programming, (C#, MVC,
ASP.NET), experience using MS SQL Server databases (2016, 2008 R2), including
development of tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, and creating extensive
T-SQL reports; 2 years’ experience in MVC, ASP.Net and Experience with Visual
Studio 2017/2015. Experience in web technologies including MVC, API, HTML5,
JSON, JQuery, Ajax, XML and web services. Technical documentation of code,
deployment scripts and testing processes upon completion of a project.
