Job Summary

To mature and establish sound data-model risk-management practices relative to Meridian’s critical AML-related data models. Provide meaningful and concise insights to Leadership to enable their management of the AML/ATF program.

Key Responsibilities

The AML function relies on a variety of critical data models in the execution of its regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will:

  • Mature and develop appropriate data model risk management frameworks and processes to document, risk score, validate, and maintain the efficacy of relevant models; and
  • Identify and document gaps in data/understanding and critical assumptions relied on and seek and recommend solutions to minimize their number and impact.

Meridian’s risk environment and operating conditions are constantly evolving.  The successful candidate will develop new models:

  • Unifying disparate data sources across the enterprise to generate insights and identify opportunities to enhance the AML Team’s identification, assessment, and management of operational risks (process effectiveness, regulatory compliance);
  • To enhance the detection and assessment of money laundering (ML) and terrorist financing (TF)-related indicators; and
  • To establish and enhance system-level procedural controls and automate key processes.

  • Strong business acumen, excellent interpersonal skills and ability interacting with all levels of the organization, including Executive management
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and summarize large quantities of data and being able to access data from multiple sources
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology to streamline processes, tools and analysis
  • Experience working in a fast paced & collaborative environment
