Detail-oriented individuals will be interested in this opportunity to join the ranks of a successful company as an Accounts Payable Administrator. You will thrive in this Accounts Payable (A/P) Administrator position at a dynamic organization with a growing team, if you can match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a full-time position based in the Hamilton Wentworth region.

Major responsibilities

- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

- Produce full-cycle A/P

- Help with internal and external audits as required

- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
