Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will be joining a dynamic accounting team and be involved in various facet of accounting up to and including preparing financial statements and analysis. This role will provide you

Duties:

  • Processing Accounts Payable and its payment (including wire and cheques)
  • Month end closing including journal entries, accruals
  • Fluent in payroll process and liaise with ADP to identify issues.
  • Account reconciliations including bank AP/AR sub-ledger balancing, prepaid schedule, WSIB, EHT, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Maintain fixed asset ledger
  • Prepare financial statements under direction.
  • Other financial reporting/analysis as assigned


    • University degree in Business or Commerce
    • CPA or enrolled in final stage
    • 3-5 years of related accounting experience
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office including strong Excel. Visio and SAGE will be big asset
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Process deficiencies identification / improvement knowledge / internal control experience a plus
    • Ability to learn quickly and good in problem solving
