On behalf of our client in the Utilities Sector, PROCOM is looking for an Account Specialist.

Account Specialist – Job Description

  • Reporting to the Client Relationship Manager, the Account Specialist is responsible to maintain existing business and grow relationships with current clients.
  • Responsible for managing the daily needs of assigned clients to provide a better understanding of the full potential of our products.
  • For new opportunities, work with the Implementation Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and act as a liaison between the client and customer service for on-going work.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for collaborating with different work groups and departments to improve customer support programs and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Assist Client Relationship Manager build strong client relationships
  • Provide pre- and post-sales support to retain customers through regular communication
  • Develop and manage detailed action items, meeting minutes to track resources and tasks
  • Facilitate productive meetings with clients to drive successful outcomes
  • Prepare reports to show the status of accounts
  • Suggest company services, as well as, products to maximize client satisfaction
  • Establish strong client/vendor relations to understand and satisfy clients’ needs, re-engineer processes and provide solutions
  • Communicate product and pricing details clearly
  • Ensure quality results by developing and using templates and following company writing standards
  • Coordinate with Supervisors and Managers to create customized plans for assigned clients
  • Facilitate client projects and determine the best utilization of resources to increase customer satisfaction
  • Become the reliable point of contact that is required to establish a strong business relationship

Account Specialist – Mandatory Skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the meticulous management of client details
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships
  • Ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and make difficult decisions in a timely manner
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate people, guide them through impediments and conflicts, and build consensus
  • Naturally inquisitive with the aptitude to ask questions to ensure that information is clear and understood
  • Advanced skills in a sales CRM, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project
  • Some Travel required to client sites throughout Canada and the U.S - Valid Passport required
