Description

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team in Vancouver in the role of Account Manager.  Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, Western Region, you will be responsible for the origination of equipment leases by prospecting, developing and servicing equipment vendors and manufacturer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop prospective corporate and individual vendors and end users that have the highest potential for profitability.
  • Maximize Meridian’s penetration in each account striving to attain the lead funder position in all targeted accounts.
  • Represent Meridian at appropriate industry and community functions when required.
  • Prepare annual business plan outlining your objectives and strategies.Provide quarterly updates on your opportunity funnel.
  • Provide support to existing sales team members

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Completion of a post-secondary education program is preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years sales experience
  • Equipment sales experienced preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing duties.
  • Strong prospecting and territory management skills to achieve sales quota.
  • Expert sales/closing skills.
  • High level of energy and drive and you want to work with people that share that attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate style and persuasive interpersonal skills; ability to influence others.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for own actions.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel in assigned territory (Vancouver Region)
