Account Executive
Talentcor Professional has partnered with an industry leading distributor of commercial interior / architectural products. We are seeking an Account Executive to join the existing sales team to grow commercial accounts in their assigned territory. This position will have a core focus on prospecting and generating new business. The successful candidate would also be responsible for managing projects from concept to completion in collaboration with the design, project coordination, logistics, and installation teams.  
This position would be a great fit for individuals with a background in A&D Sales as it encompasses technical product sales, project management, generating tender submittals, and strategic selling. Key clients would be in Interior Design, Commercial Real Estate, General construction, as well as Commercial end users.
  • New business development via prospecting, networking, and strategic selling
  • Identifying opportunities through construction websites, directly targeting end users to secure the specification
  • Conducting Lunch & Learn presentations, Product Knowledge sessions, and CEU courses with Interior Designers and Architects
  • Attending various networking events and trade shows to identify new opportunities and to grow the brand’s awareness in the local market
  • Identifying clients needs by asking questions, understanding their buying motivations and finding a solution based on their requirements
  • Managing projects from concept to completion by way of: prospecting, initial consultation, site measurements, product selection, proposals, coordination of shop drawings with GC / Architect, pricing, overseeing installation and customer follow up
  • Manage all sales activities through a CRM
  • 5 years of experience in Sales / Business Development, preference given to candidates who have experience in commercial interiors (wallpaper, flooring, architectural walls, window coverings, contract furniture)
  • Experience prospecting, cold calling, and strategic selling to all levels of decision makers
  • Experience reading and understanding architectural
  • Post-Secondary Education in Sales, Marketing, Architecture or Interior Design
  • Superior customer service attitude
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close sales
  • Existing network in commercial real estate is an asset
