Finance Analyst O&M

Manpower is currently seeking a Finance Analyst O&M for a full time contract position with a Major Pipeline Company in the Chatham Ont. Area.
* Prepare and analyze the business client's operating and maintenance budget, forecast and outlook.
* Analyze, with variance explanations, of the Union Gas consolidated and individual business client's actual operating and maintenance expenses recorded monthly/annually.
* Interact with business client(s) to understand their business and to provide decision support.
* Prepare monthly accruals, journal entries and reconciliations.
* Provide support for preparation of ad hoc O&M reporting.
* Provide support for developing and maintaining effective control procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience.
* 5 years financial/accounting work experience.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Demonstrate the ability to work and excel in a team environment.
* Superior computer skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Possess knowledge and understanding of basic accounting concepts.
* Sound analytical and problem solving ability.
* Able to work with minimal supervision.
* Possession of an accounting designation would be an asset.
* SAP Proficient including understanding of Union Gas internal order/cost centre structure and SAP processes would be an asset.
