Classification: Media Planner

Compensation: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year

My client, a technology company based near Brentwood Station, is looking for a talented PR and Communications Specialist to join their team. In this position, you will play a key role in developing and implementing public relations strategies for one of their key products. Working closely with the marketing team, your responsibilities will range from research to media relations, as well as content creation.
Job Requirements
Job Type / Category - Develop dynamic brand narrative, identify product positioning and key messaging ideas - Act as the main external contact with media and external stakeholders for the Filmora?s brand - Consult with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement annual and quarterly media relations strategies to support Filmora?s brand development and marketing efforts - Responsible for the planning and execution of public relations activities, both internally and externally - Write press releases, product fact sheets, FAQs, and other PR copy - Create regular media coverage reports. Monitor and analyze effectiveness of PR campaigns and communicate insights to management - Build and maintain targeted media lists, and nurture relationships with key reporters - Provide effective crisis management solutions in the times of need - Conduct market research,analyzing market data to help shape brand message and PR approaches - Plan and organize PR related events, from conceptualization to execution, in a team environment - Handle administrative tasks related to communications and/or event planning Required Education, Skills and Qualifications - 3+ years of marketing communications or public relation experience, in software industry preferred - Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or business preferred - Experience in content creation related to marketing campaign, email campaigns or advertisements - Solid understanding in communication techniques dealing with external audiences such as other companies and customers - Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English - Excellent time and project management skills - Basic understanding of video editing and video sharing platforms is an asset - Experience with marketing materials on a global scale is an asset - Proven experience in web and social media marketing - An entrepreneurial team player willing to hit the ground running - Self-starter, resourceful, creative, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously - Must be an open-minded and innovative thinker Due to the overwhelming amount of applicants, only successful candidates will be contacted.
