Classification: Manager Internal Audit

Compensation: $95,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year

Our client, a large global organization located in Vancouver is currently seeking a Manager of Internal Audit to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for managing the Company?s SOX obligations, including coordination of the preparation and maintenance of control documentation and managing testing of the operating effectiveness of key internal controls over financial reporting globally including analysing the testing results. In conjunction with the Compliance and Internal Audit team, recommendations will be brought forth to streamline processes and identify and remediate deficiencies in controls. Responsibilities also include planning annual SOX compliance activities, and completion of memos for the Audit Committee and CEO/CFO to support the quarterly and annual certification processes. You will also be responsible for managing the completion of internal audits in Vancouver and at regional offices, as per the annual internal audit plan approved by the Audit Committee. This includes analysis and communication of Internal Audit results with Regional Management and completion of internal audit reports for distribution to Senior Management. This position also assists with developing the annual Compliance and Internal Audit Department plan for approval by the Audit Committee. This position will also manage the completion of special projects as time permits throughout the year to support finance and other departments globally as directed by the CFO, or Director, Compliance Internal Audit. 25% travel both local and international is required in this position.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate in this role with either be in an Internal Audit Supervisor or Manager role currently looking to move into a more robust mandate or be a tenured Senior Internal Auditor ready by both years of experience and demonstrated success in the role to move into a Manager role. You will have your accounting designation and ideally spent your foundation years with a Big 4 Public Practice firm in Audit and Assurance with a focus on publicly listed companies.. You will be well versed in IFRS and SOX and have strong attention to detail, be an effective and confident communicator and be strong at formulated reports to be presented in Word as well as Powerpoint. You enjoy Internal Audit and have either completed, are enrolled or would like to enrol in the CIA program.
