As Territory Manager

* Call upon Industrial Power Transmission as well as Hose & Coupling Distributor and coordinate required internal resources to serve, generate momentum and sales volume on behalf of our firm.

* Call activity - 60 quality calls per month broke down as follows:  60% of the calls will be End User focused, promoting our product offering.  40% of the calls on Distribution to review sales results, target account activity, new initiatives, as well as making joint calls on those targeted End Users.

* Manage relationships with our Distributor Partners and End Users ensuring that we are at the right level within each organization to effect real changes to secure new business for our firm.

* Seek to work with OEM’s understanding the conversion timeline, using project management methodology and coordinate with appropriate sales support teams.

* Provide input into the Territory Business Plan, what will each Distributor Partner sell within the period.  Making sure that our activities with these Distributors will yield the results agreed upon.

* Develop a PLAN to maximize the opportunities within your assigned territory using the Loop Planner tool and the Branch Profile tool to properly map out the territory.

* Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge relevant to that required to fulfill the job responsibilities.

* Understand products, applications, market and customers to better position our firm in recommending solutions to the Distributor and End User.

* Represent us in a professional, ethical and socially responsible manner with customers.

* Successfully build relationships (both internally and externally) with Distributors and OEM’s to achieve the Territory’s Business Plan.

* Document activities in our CRM module (SMART) completing the call reports on a weekly basis (Completed Friday of the week by end of business).

* Build a business plan with Key Distributor Branches to convert competitive business.

* Manage expenses in accordance with the expense policy.

* Work as part of a cohesive team supporting the overall goals of our Canadian Business Plan.

Travel requirements


Travel is approximately 40% and will be solely within Designated Territory.


- strong mechanical or industrial aptitude.
- strong math skills
- 5 years outside sales experience within British Columbia.
- experience selling through distribution.
- from a related product line, IE, bearings PT, hoses, hydraulics, industrial parts, aftermarket car parts.
- ability to cover all of British Columbia.
