Design Group Vancouver is looking for a Project Manager to join a reputable General Contractor to manage high-end tenant improvement projects up to $10M. This company focuses on hiring ambitious candidates for their culture-driven environment. They are looking for a Project Manager who can execute with a high level of professionalism and accountability while managing their own projects from inception through to handover. 

 

Your Challenge:

  • As the project manager, you will be responsible for delivering direct client interface on projects in the Vancouver area. Key responsibilities will include leading competitive bid teams and responding to proposals, developing and negotiating contracts with owners, managing budgets and profitability in preconstruction and development, and ensuring risk management is exercised. The project manager is key to ensuring compliance with ethics and driving safety protocols. You are a professional in building and maintaining client relationships and generating new sales and can work effectively with all levels of your project team, including other PMs, superintendents, assistants, and site staff.
 

Your Background:

  • The successful applicant for this opportunity should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture, with at least 5+ years of demonstrated success as a project manager – ideally with commercial and institutional projects. Knowledge of construction costs, budgets, scheduling, estimating, and engineering and construction methods and materials is required. You will work with a diverse group of staff, skill sets, and personalities, so strong verbal & written communication is required.
