As we are rapidly expanding into new territories and offering new products we are adding a Pre-Sales Engineer to the team; someone who can act as a primary product resource supporting the sales team with RFI/RFP responses, product demonstrations and knowledge sharing during the pre-sales period.

The opportunity

Reporting to the VP, Product, this is a newly created opportunity for a Pre-Sales Engineer to support our growth and the sales team with product demonstrations, RFI/RFP responses, and knowledge sharing during the critical pre-sales period. 

Who you are

You have experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or Plant Maintenance – perhaps as an EAM Implementation Consultant or as part of an Implementation team on the client site at large organizations. People view you as a trusted advisor, industry expert and respect your proposed solutions and strategies. Once it is safe to do so, you are willing and able to travel frequently for pre-sales work.

What our new Pre-Sales Engineer will do:

  • Contribute to improvements. Provide input and insights from product demonstrations and interactions to the product design and release-planning processes. Be a go-to product resource for our sales team and a bridge between them and our product management and development teams.
  • Actively participate in sales efforts. Leverage your industry experience to translate client requirements into compelling product demonstrations by creating scenarios and configuring our products to meet their needs. 
  • Build relationships. Strengthen and develop client relationships as well as vendor partner relationships. You will be a trusted advisor to our clients and be creative in meeting their needs.
  • Travel. When it is safe to do so you will spend up to 10-25% of your time attending on-site pre-sales meetings and events throughout North America (Once travel restrictions are lifted and there is no longer a risk to your health).

Here’s how we know you are the new Pre-Sales Engineer, you have:

  • Education. You have a university degree, ideally in a technical field.
  • Experience. You have experience with enterprise software implementation projects – preferably in the asset management or plant maintenance area.
  • Technical expertise. You have hands-on ERP experience – preferably SAP and ideally Oracle EBS. 
  • Outstanding communication skills. You can nurture relationships with local and remote internal and external teams. You have strong documentation and report writing skills as well as client presentation skills. 
  • Project management skills. You can balance priorities, change focus, multitask and be rapidly responsive while being diplomatic in your approach.
  • Motivation and innovation. You are a self-starter who can work through a complex customer problem and design and build a solution.
  • Drive. You learn new technologies quickly, have a willingness to do what it takes, pitch in where needed, and react quickly to VIZIYA’s dynamic environment.
