FWS Project Manager, Clinical Readiness
On behalf of our client in the Healthcare industry, Procom Consultants Group is currently searching for a FWS Project Manager, Clinical Readiness.

FWS Project Manager, Clinical Readiness Job Description:

Clinical/Business Readiness Activities:

  1. Oversee engagement, analysis and documentation of business/clinical requirements to facilitate effective planning and implementation of the FWS Project, including engaging/collaborating with FWS team members, interdependent projects (i.e. CST) and client stakeholders (i.e. Health Authorities - HAs, LMCs - Lower Mainland Consolidation, etc.)
  2. Chair project Business/Clinical Working (BWG) including preparation of agenda, materials and documentation/follow up of actions.
  3. Develop and execute the FWS deployment and change management plans working in collaboration with the FWS Project Manager – Application Readiness, FWS Project Manager – VDI and Citrix and Workspace Technology & Sustainment TRP Lead.
  4. Liaise with IMITS Communications to develop and execute effective communications and change management plans (including engagement with BWG and site sponsors as required).
  5. Work in collaboration with FWS application readiness team, FWS technical solutioning team and Workplace Technology & Services sustainment team to integrate and align planning, solutioning and readiness activities for VDI and Win 10.
  6. Provide and implement recommendations i.e. improvement in the quality and efficiency of existing business/clinical process that align with/and support the business/clinical and FWS desired outcomes.
  7. Tool standardization as it relates to FWS/program pipeline process, and where other opportunities present (i.e. EA, CST, etc.).
  8. Oversee Clinical Readiness activities undertaken by Clinical/business readiness team (Clinical Informatics Change Lead and BAs) including:
    • Clinical workflow assessment, analysis and translation of business requirements to support technical solutioning.
    • The development of effective and clinically appropriate solutions for issue resolution.
    • Process re-engineering activities; as well as identifying gaps, risks and opportunities.
    • Process development, adherence and associated change control activities; including Generic, Shared and Clinical Lock-down accounts and other clinical enablers requiring technical solutioning to support the Win 10 environment.
    • Validation of requirements, dependencies, and associated issues/risks; escalate as appropriate.
    • Development of training materials (i.e. for business, clinical and technical users) and other documentation (as identified) to support workstation deployments.
    • Develop and/or inform feasibility studies, requirements gathering, business use cases, etc. to support Win 10 and Virtual Desktop implementations.
    • Address issues/risks related to project planning/pipeline processes, change management, stakeholder buy-in and user experience.
    • Document existing and developing/improving business/clinical procedures and processes related to FWS;

Project Management activities:

  1. Adherence to FWS PMO and IMITS PQTO standards, metrics, processes, procedures and practices.
  2. Management of integrated project dependencies including PQTO engagement and CST alignment / co-planning.
  3. Chair/facilitate business engagement and status meetings (inclusive of agenda, minutes and other meeting materials).
  4. Conducts regularly scheduled status reviews, identifies deviations to work plan/schedule and implements corrective action(s).
  5. Communicates project status, actions and issues; and provides full project reporting through the project governance structure (including contribute work stream specific reporting to standard PQTO status reports and Executive Steering Committee decks).
  6. Delegates appropriate tasks and responsibilities to project team resources.
  7. Maintains all project-related documentation, including project plan, status reports, "lessons learned", change control, risk/issue, communications, etc. for the business/clinical readiness work stream.
  8. Identifies and tracks metrics as they relate to the project deliverables; describes problems and generates solutions for team problem-solving.
  9. Liaises and coordinates with other project streams leads and associated stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  10. Draft reports, briefing notes, and other supportive documentation for higher level management and governance working groups.
  11. Contribute subject matter expertise to future iterations of the FWS business case.
  12. Maintains effective and regular communication with all stakeholders (i.e. Site Sponsors, IMITS Communications, Clinical/Change teams, FWS Project Director, FWS Technical teams, Workspace Technology Services team and other project streams) on all related matters.
  13. Provides support to the FWS Project Director (e.g. strategy, plan, schedule, reporting and risk/issues) to ensure FWS’s ability meet required timelines and deliverables, as well as issue escalation and resolution.
  14. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.

    • Engagement & Readiness plans including supporting materials, frameworks, toolkits, etc.
    • Document repository for Clinical/Business Work stream.

FWS Project Manager, Clinical Readiness Mandatory Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Project Management principals, methodologies and change management practices/trends.

Desirable skillset:

  • Experience working within Health Authorities
    • References (supervisor level) will be requested and checked for all past BC Health Authority experience (within last 5 years)
  • Successful experience working on a technical implementation project in a clinical engagement role.
  • Prior experience with Change Management, Modeling and Requirements Management techniques and tools.
  • Business Analysis (e.g. IIBA), Project Management (e.g. PMP, Prince2) or Change Management (PROSCI) certification and education.
